【摘要】:Thisisnotaroutinetest.Thevaluesrecordedareapplicableonlytothesewerbeingtestedandatthetimeoftesting.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfortestingconcretepipesewerlines,whenusingthenegativeairpressure(vacuum)testmethodtodemonstratetheintegrityoftheinstalledmaterialandtheconstructionprocedures.Thistestmethodcoverstestingof4to36-in.diametercircularconcretepipesewerlinesutilizinggasketedjoints.Note18212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatmethodsdescribedhereinmayalsobeusedasapreliminarytesttoenablethemanufacturerorinstallertodemonstratetheconditionofsewerpipepriortodeliveryorbackfill.Minimumtesttimespresentedinareforpipelines.Holdingtimesfortestinganindividualpipemayhavetobeincreasedtoallowfortheaccumulationofleakagewhenthetestedpipeareincorporatedintoacontinuouspipeline.1.2AcompletemetriccompaniontoTestMethodC1214hasbeendeveloped8212;C1214M;therefore,nometricequivalentsarepresentedinthistestmethod.Note28212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatthenegativeairpressure(vacuum)testcriteriapresentedinthistestmethodaresimilartothoseingeneraluse.Thetestandcriteriahavebeenusedwidelyandsuccessfullyintestingsmallerdiameterpipe.Largerpipewillbeacceptedmoreconvenientlybyvisualinspectionandindividualjointtesting.Note38212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatnocorrelationhasbeenfoundbetweenlossofvacuumandwaterleakage.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection6forspecificsafetyprecautions.
