【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasurestheangleofcontactwhenadropofliquidisappliedtothesurfaceofaspecimenofpaper.Themeasurementofboththeinitialangleofcontactandtheangleofcontactafteradefinedelapsedperiodoftimemaybemeasured.Astandardliquid(ink)formakingmeasurementsisdescribed.Otherliquidsincludingprintinginks,writinginks,adhesives,oils,andcoatingmaterialsmaybeuseduponagreementofthoseinvolvedinthetestingbeingdone.Twotypesofapparatusformeasuringthecontactangleusingtheprocedureinthistestmethodaredescribed.Additionalinstrumentsthatcanperformtheprocedureinthistestmethodmayalsoprovideequivalentresults.AdifferentprocedureusinganautomatedinstrumentformeasuringangleofcontactwillbefoundinTestMethodD5725Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
