【摘要】:Thetestmethodisdesignedtomeasuretheforcerequiredtocrackthegrainofleatherbysteadyhydraulicpressureonadiaphragmofdefinitediameterappliedtothefleshsideofthespecimentoformasphere.Thecrackingofthegrainisaresultoffailureunderelongationorstretch.Theelongationorstretchoftheleathercanbemeasuredatdifferentloadsoratthefailureofthegraintodetermineifthestressleatherwillwithstandunderlastingconditions.Cuts,scratches,andotherdefectswillcauseconsiderablevariationintheresultsbyconcentrationoftheappliedforcetotheweakpoints.Thistestmethodisexcellentformanufacturingcontrol,specificationacceptance,andserviceevaluationinthelastingpropertyofleather.Thistestmethodmaynotapplywhentheconditionsofthetestemployeddifferwidelyfromthosespecifiedinthetestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheresistanceofleathertograincrackingandformeasuringtheextensionoftheleather.Itislimitedtolightleatherssuchasshoeuppers,garment,gloves,andupholstery.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytowetblue.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
